Pope John Paul II Awards Pilgrimage

On September 27th next, we welcome the annual Pope John Paul II awards pilgrimage to Knock Shrine. This pilgrimage is open to all young people aged 16 – 18 years,  students in Transition Year and Pope John Paul II Award participants along with their parish leaders, school principals, teachers and Award leaders. Guest speaker on the day is Elma Walsh of #Livelife.

PILGRIMAGE PROGRAMME:
10:30am: Assemble at the Papal Cross
11:00am: Welcome ceremony
11:30am: Song, prayer, discussion.

GUEST SPEAKERS: Elma Walsh #LiveLife

12:45pm: Lunch break
2:00pm: Prayers of Thanksgiving at the Apparition Chapel
2:20pm: Song, prayer and reflection
3:00pm: Celebration of the Eucharist, led by Award Patron, Bishop Donal McKeown.

MUSIC: Elation Ministries.

Last year, over 1,100 young people from across Ireland made the journey to gather together, to pray, to reflect, have fun and sing at this special place.
