The National Novena at Knock Shrine is just a few days away.
We look forward to welcoming you back for what will be a reflective and prayerful time. The Novena falls during a time that, for many people, feels like a period of transition. The pain of the past two years is still fresh in the minds of many, but like our theme, we emerge from the darkness to embrace a new dawn and embark on a new ‘Journey in Hope.’
We are fortunate to have a wonderful schedule of guest speakers each day who will share inspiring personal stories of faith. We also look forward to welcoming Diocesan Pilgrimages from Meath, Raphoe and Elphin. The 21st August marks the Anniversary of the Apparition. In celebration of this, we will host a Family Day on the grounds of Knock Shrine, where you are invited to enjoy a day filled with activities for families and young people.
You can view the entire schedule of guest speakers and Homilists here. Our Novena brochure is also available to download in this section.
Ceremonies will take place at 3pm (with Anointing of the Sick at 2.30pm) and 8pm in the Basilica. The beautiful outdoor candlelight procession will take place following the evening ceremony (weather permitting).
We hope that you enjoy this very special time of year at Knock Shrine. Here is a short 30-second video to welcome you back to this years Novena.
