Since 2014, Knock Shrine's most sacred buildings have been completely redeveloped. Your gift will help support the future preservation of these historic structures for future generations.

Church of St. John the Baptist

Given its international significance, improvements have now been completed to ensure the
preservation of this building. Projects completed include:

  • The Repair and repointing external walls
  • Restoration of pews and stained glass windows, and installation of a new organ
  • Upgrades to lighting and heating

The Apparition Chapel

The Apparition Chapel encloses the area where the fifteen official Apparition Witnesses gathered. Preserving this site is crucial. Our work comprised of:

  • Re-glazing, and replacing flooring throughout
  • Cleaning of the marble statues sculpted in Italy in 1960

Essential IT Infrastructure

Bringing our infrastructure up to modern standards is ongoing and will greatly enhance our web offering and foster national and international access to pilgrimages, seminars and events. Work involves:

  • Improving technology to allow live streaming of services, enabling worshippers to partake in the celebration of Mass and special events in homes and centres all over the world
  • Installing a booking management system for events, tours and catering
  • Upgrading CCTV security systems to benefit visitors and members of staff
