Why Suffering and Evil?
We will discuss the following issues:
• ‘I can’t take any more!’ Our experiences of suffering and evil
• We say ‘Good God!’ but in face of suffering and evil is this true?
• How does God respond to the suffering of humankind?
• ‘There is some soul of good in things evil’ – Shakespeare. True?
• ‘Deliver us from evil!’ Does God do enough?
The text will be Brian Grogan’s God, You’re Breaking
My Heart: How does God Respond to Suffering and
Evil? (Dublin: Messenger Publications, 2016).
