Knock Basilica: Open for Private Prayer

Journey through the Stations of the Cross or take a few moments for quiet prayer and reflection. The Stations of the Cross in the Basilica depict the passion and death of Jesus with dramatic effect.

Each Station was painting by artist Ger Sweeney using oil on stretched raw linen. These beautiful paintings transcend the limits of their physical surroundings, encouraging contemplative engagement in the final journey of Christ on earth.

You can also take a moment to reflect on on the magnificence of the Apparition mosaic which give us a sense of the wonder and awe that the fifteen witnesses to the Apparition must have felt as they gazed at the heavenly vision before them.
