Knock Christmas Family Candle

Lighting a candle at Christmas is a lovely Irish tradition – lighting the way for Mary and  Joseph on their way to Bethlehem. We are delighted to launch our new Knock Family Candle – simple way to remember the true meaning of Christmas and to give thanks for the gift of family. Family is central to the Story of Knock and this new Christmas candle marks the end of our 140th anniversary celebrations here at Knock Shrine.

There are two types of candles available. The natural wax candle is made from solid wax in an winter white  colour. It features the Knock Apparition Chapel with a festive design. The reverse of the candle features the opening lines to the traditional Christmas hymn ‘Silent Night’. The candle has a burn time of approximately 30 hours and is unscented.  In homes where there are small children or pets, the LED option is a safe alternative to a natural flame and dripping wax.  This battery operated candle is set in natural wax and is vanilla scented. It can be timed for 6 hours on and 18 hours off. It requires 3 x AAA batteries, which are included.
