Please Support Knock Shrine

Knock Shrine depends on the generosity of our parishioners, friends and patrons. It is through your generous donations that we aim to preserve this sacred and special Shrine for future generations of pilgrims.

Support Knock Shrine

Over 1 million pilgrims visit Ireland’s International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine each year to experience the unique, peaceful atmosphere that is to be found here.  Your donation supports many aspects of Knock Shrine:

The daily maintenance of over 100 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, including the new Creation Walk.

The provision of  support services such as prayer guidance,  counselling and bereavement support.

Youth ministry programmes for children and young people.

Faith renewal programmes including retreats, workshops and sacred music events.

Embracing The Future

Creation Walk

This new walk has been inspired by Brian Grogan SJ’s new book ‘Creation Walk – the story of a small blue planetThese waymarked pathways encourage us to pause and prayerfully reflect on God’s Creation. The walk is approximately 0.5km in length and commences at the car park at Knock Museum.

A Greener Shrine

Our changing environment prompts us to stop and think about how we live on our planet. At Knock Shrine, we are constantly striving to use renewable energy and materials throughout the Shrine.

  • Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Panels are now installed on the roof of the Basilica. As these panels generate electricity in a wholly renewable manner, Knock Shrine will significantly reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to mitigating climate change.
  • New exterior seating throughout the grounds is constructed from 100% recycled materials
  • Recycling facilities. All litter bins in the Shrine grounds offer visitors the opportunity to recycle their bottles, cans, and paper products.

Our Lady Of Knock Legacy Programme

Once you have taken care of your loved ones in your Will, leaving a gift to Knock Shrine, large or small, is a meaningful way to support future development. This can help to ensure that Knock Shrine will remain a special place of international pilgrimage and prayer long into the future.

If you are considering including Knock Shrine in your will,  there are a number of ways in which your gift can be utilised to make a lasting difference to others and continue the work of the Shrine in your name.

Your legacy will help us to continue to develop Knock Shrine as an international place of pilgrimage and prayer,  while also helping with the running of critical services such as the Knock Counselling Centre and Youth Ministry & Bereavement Support.
