Knock Shrine, Ireland’s International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine, is inviting applications for the role of Procurement Specialist.

The Role

You will have a strong background in sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization. This role requires a proactive professional who can drive procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure the continuous supply of quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and supplier performance.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluation.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new trends, opportunities, and risks in the supply chain.
  • Lead the Request for Quotation and Request for Proposal processes, ensuring competitive pricing and value.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and supplier performance.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement with a track record of strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Applications.
  • Professional certifications such as a Certification in Purchasing and Procurement is highly desirable.

The role is a permanent position, and candidates must be willing to work 35 hours per week.

Knock Shrine, Ireland’s International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine, is inviting applications for the role of Mass Enrolment Assistant.

The Role

You will be responsible for fulfilling Mass Enrolment requests in a busy customer-facing environment.  This role involves continuous interaction with the public, both face to face and over the telephone.

You will have:

  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • A good work ethic and ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • A friendly, calm and efficient manner.
  • Experience of working as part of a dynamic team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent English and high-quality hand-writing skills.
  • A professional and confident telephone manner.

The following skills and experience, while not essential, would be advantageous:

  • Experience of working with Point of Sale systems.
  • IT skills (Word and Excel).

The role is a permanent position, and candidates must be willing to work 37.5 hours per week.  Candidates must also be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and major Church holidays.
