Novena Soloists and Choirs

We are delighted to announce details of the guest soloists and choirs who will add to the celebration of the Novena ceremonies this year.

Among the guest soloists joining us this year are Annette Griffin and Mary Flaherty on Wednesday, August 14th, the opening day of the National Novena. On Saturday next, August 17th Kathryn Craig will join us from the United States at the 8pm ceremony and she will be accompanied by Knock Schola. Soprano Anne Marie Gibbons will perform at the evening ceremony on Sunday, August 18th.   Guest soloists on Monday, August 19th are singers James Kilbane at 3pm and John McNicholl at 8pm.

We also welcome the Cathedral choirs from Tuam, Sligo and St. Muiredach’s Cathedral in Ballina.  Columcille Gospel Choir will accompany the Raphoe Diocesan pilgrimage. Two Castlebar choirs – Our Lady’s choir and Castlebar parish choir will also join us and, on the 140th anniversary of the Apparition  on August 21st, Knock parish choir will lead the celebrations.
