Pilgrimage Organisers

Since the first organised pilgrimage came to Knock in 1880, we have welcomed pilgrims from all over the world to this sacred place.

Pilgrimage Season 2024

Pilgrimage Masses take place at Knock Basilica each weekend throughout the pilgrimage season.

Saturday Pilgrimages
2pm Outdoor Stations of the Cross & Rosary Procession
3pm Concelebrated Mass at Knock Basilica with Anointing of the Sick during Mass

Sunday Pilgrimages

2pm Rosary
2.30pm Anointing of the Sick at Knock Basilica
3pm Concelebrated Mass at Knock Basilica followed by Benediction & Rosary Procession

Pilgrimage Services

The pilgrimage season takes place from the last Sunday in April until the second Sunday in October each year and the team at Knock Shrine are always on hand to facilitate pilgrimage organisers in making their day as special as possible.

Visiting Pilgrimage Groups

Groups visiting Knock Shrine often like to take time to celebrate a private Mass in the Apparition Chapel. If you are travelling with a priest, you might like to avail of this service. Please note, private Mass must be booked in advance by contacting us on (094) 93 88100 or email info@knockshrine.ie

Visiting priests are also welcome to concelebrate Mass, however we advise that arrangements are made with the sacristy in advance. The sacristy can be contacted directly on (094) 93 88100.

Visiting Choirs at Knock Shrine

Knock Shrine has a long tradition of welcoming visiting choirs to participate in our daily ceremonies. Please contact our director of Sacred Music for more information.
