The Youth Ministry team in Knock seeks to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to make known the Good News of Christ more fully through worship, service and witness. They aim to give the young people who visit Knock Shrine a personal experience of Jesus through the Sacraments. They do this by celebrating the Sacraments, preaching the Gospel, and by giving witness to the living presence of Jesus in our world.

The Youth Ministry in the Shrine runs programmes throughout the year, School Retreats throughout the academic year and a Summer programme called The HUB from June-August.

Summer Fun at the HUB (Hear, Understand, Believe)

Throughout June, July and August, the Youth Ministry at Knock Shrine run The HUB which provides a place for children (5 years and over) and teens to spend time at the Shrine. The HUB is open weekly from Wednesday- Sunday and offers a drop-in centre and a kids club as well as a number of great activities, fun events and summer camps. It is a colourful, fun, safe place for young people to learn more about their faith in a fun and relaxed way.

June 5^th: Exam Mass

The Basilica at 7:30pm

For all students, parents and teachers who are preparing for exams. This Mass will take place in the Basilica at 7:30pm. Bring along your pencil cases to be blessed at Mass.

VAKS Programme

Volunteer@Knock Shrine is a programme for all over 16 years of age.

It is an opportunity for young people to come to Knock to volunteer for the weekend. This is a great way to meet new friends, serve others, express your faith and have fun. This programme includes 2 training days (June 4^th and 11^th) – training includes 1^st aid, sign language, learning about Knock, communication and listening skills, manual handling skills, etc.

If you have a group you would like to bring to volunteer for the weekend we can arrange this also.

July 3^rd – 7^th   Knock Youth Ministry Summer Camp

A fun filled week for all 7-11 year olds. The camp will run in The HUB. This week includes arts & crafts, sports, prayer, dance, music and much more. Each day runs 10:00-2:00. Children are asked to bring a packed lunch. Cost €30   Places are limited so booking is essential.

July 17^th – 21^st   The Michaela Foundation Summer Camp for Girls

Age: 11-13  years Old Girls. Cost: £60

Michaela Foundation Summer Camps bring magic into the lives of young girls throughout the country. The Summer camp offers 11-13 year old girls the opportunity to experience a plethora of inspiring and entertaining activities, all taught by highly- experienced experts in a fun and supportive environment.
