Youth Programmes at Knock Shrine

The Youth Ministry Team at Knock Shrine aims to bring young people to the Shrine and facilitate them on their faith journey.

Stay at the high quality pods at Knock Youth Village

Nestled in mature grounds at  Knock Shrine, the Youth Village offers high quality and comfortable accommodation with self-catering facilities. The pods are located in a secure environment, offering serenity and a deep connection with the environment.  This new  space is exclusively reserved for our VAKS each weekend over the summer season. This will be your home away from home here at the Shrine and offers a fun place to meet and engage with your fellow VAKS and to unwind in the evening in your own dedicated space .

Each Pod offers ensuite accommodation for up to two people, with tea and coffee making facilities. Additionally, we are delighted to be able offer a DDA compliant Pod with full wheelchair access to facilitate Volunteers with disabilities. The Pods are manufactured from natural Accoya timber and recycled components feature throughout, providing high quality, energy efficient and sustainable accommodation.

The Central Meeting Point offers a Meeting Room, a Chill Out Area and a large fully equipped, self-catering kitchen with all utilities supplied.

This is an ideal place to meet for meals and group activities.

A positive experience

The Youth Ministry team in Knock seeks to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to make known the Good News of Christ more fully through worship, service and witness. They aim to give the young people who visit Knock Shrine a positive experience of Knock and more importantly a personal encounter with God. They do this by celebrating the Sacraments, preaching the Gospel, and by giving witness to the living presence of Jesus in our world.

The Youth Ministry team runs programmes throughout the year. From September to May they facilitate school retreats and in July, they open the door of The HUB.

Diocesan Orders/ Youth Pilgrimages

Are you planning your diocesan or orders pilgrimage to Knock Shrine? Why not invite the young people in your dioceses to join you. Each year thousands of pilgrims come to Knock Shrine on their annual pilgrimages. We want young people to feel a part of these pilgrimages and get involved in their annual pilgrimage to Knock Shrine. Knock Youth Ministry will help you plan and organise a day for the young people you bring. We can provide workshops, organise a story and tour and a trip to Knock Museum.
